Bob Savino Obituary

Robert J. Savino of Branford, died on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at Artis Senior Living in Branford. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Donna Polidoro Savino of Branford.
Bob was born in New Haven on September 8, 1944, a son of the late Anthony and Mary DeCapua Savino. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam war. He worked for 25 years for SNET before retiring, then went to work for the State of Connecticut DOT for 15 years until retiring. Bob loved fishing, antiquing, trips to Las Vegas and entertaining with family and friends in the home that he built with his wife Donna. Bob loved all the holidays, especially Christmas Eve.
In addition to Donna, Bob is survived by his sister, Marie Biondi (the late Robert Biondi), and his brothers, Anthony (Virginia) Savino of Hamden, and Frank Savino of Hamden, and his sister-in-law Joanne Savino of West Haven. He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas (Lorraine) Savino and Joseph Savino and his brother-in-law Louis Polidoro.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Donna wishes to thank Artis Senior Living for all the care they gave to Bob, and Compassus Hospice Care, especially Renee Smith.
Funeral arrangements are private at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Compassus Hospice, 612 Wheelers Farms Road, Suite 103, Milford, CT 06461, or to the Alzheimer's Association of CT, 200 Executive Boulevard S #4B, Southington, CT 06489.
