Charles J. Gargaly Sr.

Charles James Gargaly, Sr. 92, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. Charles and his wife, Theresa, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Charles retired as an electrician in 1995, working with Carabetta Enterprises for much of his career. He served in the United States Army in Korea during the 1950's and was in the Army Reserves for 6 years after his active duty ended. Besides his wife, Theresa, Charles is survived by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12pm. The burial, with military honors, will take place on Monday, October 27, 2025 and will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wallingford Funeral Home.
