Charlotte Piscitelli Obituary

Charlotte Theresa Starita Piscitelli, 97, of New Haven died peacefully at the Guilford House on September 29, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Michael Piscitelli; the two were married for over 25 years. Charlotte was born in New Haven on February 4th, 1928, to the late Joseph and Christina Marchitto Starita. She worked for Environmental Services at the Hospital of St. Raphael for 25 years, where she received several honors for her work with special needs adults prior to retiring. Charlotte loved to dance, especially the jitterbug. In her prime, she could dance non-stop for hours with several partners. Later, she devoted her life to raising her family, whom she cherished dearly. She was an exceptionally kind woman and an amazing cook who loved to make traditional Italian food. Her greatest joy was sharing her cooking with her family, friends and neighbors. Charlotte made friends wherever she went, from St. John's Catholic School and Commercial High School, to her many jobs, to the East Shore Senior Center and the Guilford House. She was the loving mother of Christine Migliaro (Gerald), Linda Piscitelli, and Laura Condon (Kevin). She adored her grandchildren Michael Condon (Danielle), Lila Condon, Nicholas Hunsaker (Molly) and Charlotte Hunsaker and was able to see a photo of her first great granddaughter, Lucia Condon, who was born just before her death. She was predeceased by sisters, June Champlin, Dorothy Rao and Annie Gugliotti and a brother Louis Starita. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Sunday, October 5th from 4-7pm in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday October 6th in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church at 10:00am. Please go directly to Church on Monday. Burial will be private.
