Craig Johnson Obituary

Craig A. Johnson of Short Beach, Branford, died on Monday October 20, 2025 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the husband of the late Gail Bolter Johnson. Craig was born on April 6, 1930 in Branford, son of the late Clarence and Mae Bliss Johnson. He served in the U. S. Army. He was the former owner of Bruce and Johnson's Marina in Branford and he retired as the manager of Cedar Island Marina in Clinton. Craig loved the ocean and fishing; he enjoyed golfing and especially loved his trips to the casino. Craig is survived by his children, Dana (Cyndy) Johnson and Kim (George) Norden, both of Branford, his daughter-in-law Donna Johnson of Branford, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Clark Johnson and his identical twin brother Creighton Johnson. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday morning November 1, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with a memorial service at 11:00, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in Branford Center Cemetery.
