David Stickney Obituary

Rev. David Arthur Stickney, 81, of Higganum, CT, husband of Rev. Jane (Shipman) Stickney for over fifty years, died peacefully at his home on October 9, 2025. Born in Pennsylvania on July 24, 1944, he was the son of Arthur and Arlene (Hornberger) Stickney. David graduated from Springfield College (BS) and Andover Newton Theological Seminary (MDiv). Along with his wife, David was survived by his daughter, Heather Huebner of Higganum, three grandchildren, Etienne Huebner, Celia Huebner and Dorian Huebner, two sisters Jane Hanson of Weatogue and Susan Thomson of Oakdale. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Judy Kostas. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at First Church of Christ Congregational Clinton, 55 Church Road, Clinton, CT.
