Della Brittingham

Della Brittingham, 75, soulmate of the late Victor Couture, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on March 15, 1950, in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Martha and Earl Brittingham. She grew up in New Haven and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School. After she had her daughters, she moved to Wallingford, where she resided for the majority of her life. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW. She and Vic were avid NASCAR fans and traveled to New Hampshire every year to watch the races. She loved to read and cook, and she crocheted beautiful blankets. Her family and her grandchildren were the most important parts of her life. Della is survived by her two daughters, Desiree Brittingham and her significant other Tim Rose, Sarah Brittingham and her wife Heather Wysocki; her grandchildren Stephen Brittingham-Marshall, Arissa Moore, Colin Wysocki, and Jordan Rivera; her nephew Murray Battiste and niece Marci Hansen; her great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as her best friend Barbara Geary. Besides Vic and her parents, she is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Frank Battiste. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, October 28th at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, 250 Gypsy Ln., Meriden, CT 06450.
