Doris T. Watkins

Doris Ann (Tingley) Watkins April 17, 1928 - July 14, 2025 Doris T. Watkins, 97 yrs old of Alton, NH (formally of Bloomfield, CT) passed away peacefully in her sleep in Scarborough, ME at the Enclave Assisted Living. Doris was the daughter of Anna (Nicholson) and Charles W. Tingley. She was born in Norwich, CT and graduated from Newington High School. She loved singing and sang in the Hartford Choir when she was younger. She married Raymond H. Watkins Jr. in 1949, residing in Bloomfield. After a long career at Cigna, she enjoyed working for the Bloomfield Voter Registration office and the voter polls. Doris loved to garden and seeing the beautiful flowers in her garden brought her much joy. She enjoyed playing bingo and other games with friends and family. She spent summers on Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton, NH, later moving there with her husband in 2005. She loved swimming and fishing (she wasn't afraid to clean the fish) and was known for her yellow bathing cap. She also enjoyed the ocean and being at the beach. Doris was predeceased by her husband Raymond H. Watkins Jr. and her brother Peter Tingley. Doris leaves her 3 children, Diane Bertero (Tony), Gail Pazmany (Gary), James Watkins (Dorry) as well as her grandchildren, AJ Watkins, Anthony Bertero (Vanessa), Kayla Kinney (Travis), Ryan Pazmany, Hannah Pazmany as well as 3 great grandchildren and one on the way. She also leaves her sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to Thank the wonderful folks at The Enclave of Scarborough for making her laugh and enjoy life!
