Eddie H. Mealey

Eddie H. Mealey, 83, of East Haven, beloved husband of the late Beverly J. Hine Mealey, passed away on May 12, 2025 surrounded by his family at the West Haven VA Medical Center. Loving father Kathleen (Stephen) Evans of Northford, Jeffrey (Michelle) Mealey of Naugatuck, Roxanne Mealey of East Haven, Toni (Steven) Dashukewich of Plainville and the late Eddie H. Mealey III. Brother of Sue (James) Feller of Milford and the late Carol Black and William and Richard Mealey. Uncle of William and Marion Black of West Haven. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Eddie was born in Lost Creek, WV on December 20, 1941 son of the late Eddie and Ruth Paugh Mealey. He enjoyed playing golf, football, bowling, walking, planting and yard work. In addition, Eddie loved writing songs and playing guitar. Prior to his retirement, Eddie worked as a plumber for Carpenter Technology and later worked as a car salesman. He was an Army veteran.Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY at 12:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call THURSDAY from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
