In Loving Memory of Edward P. Faulkner
October 20, 1943 – October 9, 2026
(Age 82)
Edward passed away on October 9, 2026, with his daughters, Kelly and Kim, by his side.
Eddie Faulkner was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was defined by his love of family, his wonderful sense of humor, his lifelong passion for sports, and his unwavering positive attitude.
Above all else, Eddie was a loving and devoted father to his two daughters, Kelly and Kim, who adored him more than words could ever express. To them, he was so much more than their dad; he was a source of love, comfort, laughter, and a bond that will remain unbreakable even in his absence. He was a wonderful father who gave his daughters something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives: the gift of being loved by their dad.
Eddie proudly served in the U.S. Navy, including service aboard the USS Rich (DD-820). He was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the State of Connecticut Wartime Service Medal, and he carried that same spirit of perseverance and strength throughout his life, always finding reasons to smile, laugh, and appreciate the people and moments that mattered most.
Known for his playful personality and love of funny T-shirts, Eddie had a gift for making people laugh and believed there was no greater sound than children's laughter. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him tremendous joy, and he cherished every moment spent creating memories with them.
An avid sports fan, Eddie loved the Boston Red Sox, the New York Giants, and treasured attending UConn basketball games with close friends. Sharing stories and a good laugh over basketball, baseball, or football brought him countless happy memories.
Perhaps most remarkable was Eddie's unwavering positive attitude, even after losing his sight. He never let blindness diminish his joy in life or in the people around him - a lasting testament to his resilience and spirit.
Edward is survived by his daughters, Kelly Faulkner Mangan (Rainer Ernstiens) and Kimberly Faulkner Blais; his grandchildren Michael (Sandra), Casey Mangan Russell (John), Shannon Mangan, Scott Blais, and Jordan Blais; his great-grandchildren Lillian, Addison, Zoey, and Sadie Mangan, Rowan and Eloise Russell; and many nieces and nephews who knew him affectionately as Uncle Eddie.
He shared many years of marriage with Rozanne Faulkner, and though their marriage eventually ended, the family bond they built together never did. They remained close friends, united by their love for their daughters and grandchildren, and by a lifetime of memories that remained unwavering through the years.
Eddie was the son of Clifford and Helen Faulkner. He is remembered alongside his siblings Clifford Faulkner, Helen Rogers, Dennis Faulkner, and Sophie Kotomski, and was predeceased by siblings Shirley McDonald, James Faulkner, Frederick Faulkner, Francis Faulkner, and Elinor McCarthy.
Eddie will be remembered as he lived: with a positive attitude, a great sense of humor, a love of family, a passion for sports, and deep appreciation for those who made his life special. When his family hears children laughing, when friends gather to watch a game, or when the Red Sox take the field, the Giants take the field, or UConn takes the court, his spirit will be felt.
May he rest peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, resilience, and cherished memories.
