Edward was a sports fanatic and especially loved watching UConn Women's Basketball and the New York Yankees. Recently, his granddaughter, Julie gave him a Paige Bueckers signed jersey that he cherished. As a young man, he spent many years playing in slow-pitch softball leagues in Enfield. He loved Christmas and enjoyed decorating every year including his classic red truck with the Christmas tree in the bed. He never missed his daughter's sporting events and activities while she was growing up and later, he was always present at all of his grandchildren's games, recitals, plays, and awards ceremonies.
