Fernando Bracamonte Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Fernando Emilio Bracamonte, Sr., affectionately known as Mr. B, who passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by his devoted family in Somers, Connecticut. Born in Trujillo, Peru, Fernando immigrated to Queens, New York, in 1961, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and unwavering dedication to his family. Years later, he proudly became a U.S. citizen, embracing the opportunities and values of his adopted country while never forgetting his Peruvian heritage. Fernando was the beloved husband of Aida Bracamonte, his devoted wife of 67 years. Together, they created a loving home, raising a family that was the center of his world. He leaves behind his cherished children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit. He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Zarela Hurtado and Lillian Kielb, his nephews, and beloved in-laws, Miguel and Maria Cabrera, Paco Mendez, together with their families. He is now reunited in eternal peace with his mother, Maria Figueroa, his late sister, Lucresia Bracamonte, and brothers-in-law, George Kielb and Oscar Hurtado. Fernando dedicated over 30 years of his career to Estée Lauder Co., where he was known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and warmth. In retirement, he embraced life fully-traveling, savoring Peruvian cuisine, and passionately following world championship soccer and UConn Huskies Women's Basketball. Above all, Fernando will be remembered as a man of incredible generosity, integrity, and love-a devoted husband, a nurturing father, and a guiding presence to all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Family and friends are welcomed to honor his memory at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at his final resting place at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Springfield, MA. Fernando will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will continue inspiring those privileged to know and love him.
