Gayle Wyllie Obituary

Gayle (Tomlinson) Wyllie, 77, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025 at CT Hospice. She was born on June 9, 1948 to George and Moira (Knaggs) Tomlinson. Gayle is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Walter "Bud" Wyllie and her son, Sean Bame of New Haven. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren; Ashlee Parente of East Haven, Jacob Savarese (USN) of Maryland, Nathan Parente of East Haven, Deshaun Christian, Deshane Christian, Keshaun Christian and Kevonte Christian all of Florida. She was also blessed with two great-great grandchildren who she cherished, Joseph Jr. and Abigayle.
Gayle dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in their company. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, often filled with the clinking of teacups as she shared cherished moments with loved ones. Gayle was a devoted fan of basketball, attending games with family and blessed with a beautiful voice that she shared with so many in her church choir. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Family will receive friends on Friday August 15, 2025 from 12 PM (NOON) until 2 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. All are invited to meet and attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 16 at 9:30 AM in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1109 Main Street Branford CT (Please go directly to the church on Saturday) with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
