George Lankton Obituary

Obituary of George R. Lankton, Jr. George "Skip" R. Lankton, Jr., 92, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully at the West Haven VA Hospital on Wednesday, January 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Arlene J. (Bryck) Lankton for over 64 years. Born in Canaan, he was the son of the late George R. Lankton, Sr. and Elizabeth (Reel) Hill. Skip was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as an Auto Body Tech for CT Transit, retiring in 1997. Skip was a member of the Crossroads Community Cathedral, East Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law George R. Lankton III and Patsy of MA, Todd Lankton and Lisa of Rocky Hill, his granddaughters Ashley Lankton, Kelsey Lankton, Kris Welch, Katie Brogan and husband Quinton, Kerriann Lowers and husband AJ and Libby Osowski. As well as six great grandchildren Adelyn, Abner, Finnick, Hadley, Maeve and Sienna. He was also Gampy to Jojo. He was predeceased by his brothers William and Robert Lankton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Neipsic Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
