Henry Waleski Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Henry Waleski on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Lorraine Waleski, who passed on August 21, 2025, having been married 73 years. Their marriage was a rare and beautiful bond rooted in love, loyalty, and true friendship. Together, they enjoyed countless adventures: winters in Florida, summers in Maine, travels abroad, and cherished vacations with family and friends. Throughout their life together they developed a wide circle of friends. Their home was the heart of many wonderful gatherings.
Henry had a passion for taking daily long walks, being an avid reader, listening to music, playing cards, bowling, yardwork and tending his inground pool which he built. Henry worked in the construction industry and retired from Meriden Panel Form Company which was owned by one of his best friends. Henry served in the Seabees and was stationed in Guam during World War II.
Henry will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His love for his family was truly the joy of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Jon Waleski (Patricia), his daughter, Judy Harris, four grandchildren, Jessica DeAngelo (Steve), James Harris (Erika), Alicien Demonte (Anthony), and Christopher Waleski (Amber) and his four great-grandchildren, Antonio, Teddy, Jason and Brynn.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Helen (Gut) Waleski, his brother, Gregory Waleski and his sister, Dorothy Kroeber.
The calling hours, to honor Henry, will be held at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.
