James H. O'Brien

James Harding O'Brien, 83, of East Hartford, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Son of the late Thomas L. and Mary (Stephens) O'Brien, James was born on February 5, 1942, in Hartford. James graduated from the University of Hartford with his bachelor's degree in economics. He went on to become a computer programmer for several companies in the area. He was a big fan of UConn basketball, both men's and women's, and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. James is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Hill and her husband Erik, and Catherine Stahl and her husband Marshall; his grandchildren, Alex Hill and Caryn, Olivia and Dylan Stahl and great-granddaughter Cassidy Hill; his brother Stephen O'Brien and his wife, Cynthia; his two nephews, and cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 7th at 12:30 p.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street in East Hartford.
