Janet H. Tuohey

Janet (Harper) Tuohey, 88, wife of the late Raymond V. Tuohey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30th, 2025. Janet worked at Arbor Acres in Glastonbury until her retirement. It was there that she met her close-knit friends. They met monthly for breakfast and affectionately called themselves "The Breakfast Club". She was an active member of St. Maurice Church in Bolton for many years where she displayed her talent of crafting and sewing at the annual Christmas Fair. She loved family vacations, especially to St. Pete's Beach in Florida. She was most proud of being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy. Janet is survived by her daughter Brenda Thayer and her husband James, her son Raymond Tuohey Jr., and her son Robert Tuohey and his wife Krista. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Ryan Vashalifski and his wife Bridget, Kyle Vashalifski and his wife Yazmine, Noah Tuohey, Hunter Tuohey, Milena Tuohey, Alyssa Tuohey, and Gabriella Tuohey; as well as her niece and nephew, Michele and Michael Tuohey. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Myrtle Harper, her brothers John and Tom Harper, and her daughter Elizabeth Vashalifski. Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home at 219 West Center Street in Manchester on Wednesday, November 5th from 5-7pm. A private family service will be held for Janet in the future.
