Judith Sivonda Obituary

Judith Aberle Sivonda, age 74, of 1023 Acacia Avenue, Clifton Forge, and formerly of Meriden and Glastonbury, Connecticut, passed away at her home on October 9, 2025.

Judith was born on May 9, 1951 in Los Angeles, California to the late William Drew Aberle and Evelyn Alice McCleod Aberle. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Hartford. She was a teacher in New Haven, CT and also the Alleghany Highlands, and was well known to the Highlands community as the owner of Café Museo Coffee Grinder Museum in Clifton Forge as well as for her support of the local arts.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Charles Aberle, of Clifton Forge.

She leaves her husband, Stephen Edward Sivonda of Covington, VA three siblings, William M. Aberle (Delina) of Wilson, NC; Bruce A. Aberle (Pamela) of Marion, MA; and Nancy D. (Ginger) of Zurich, Switzerland; step-daughter Kendra Clancy (Eoin) and step-grandchildren Saoirse and Joe of Ireland, as well as a number of nephews and nieces.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A celebration of Judith's life will be held on the 24th of October, 2025 beginning at 5:00 PM at the Clifton Forge School of the Arts.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Black Lives Matter.
