Julio Carreras Obituary

Julio Adolfo Carreras Jr., 78, of Ellington, CT passed away Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. Born March 4th, 1947 in New York, New York to Julio and Migdalia Mendez-Carreras, Julio Jr. was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served with distinction during the conflict in Vietnam. When he completed his service, he attended Baruch College where he received a Bachelor degree in business. Prior to his retirement he had been a credit manager in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry. Julio had a passion for travel and discovery, loving to experience new cultures and peoples. He is remembered as a man whose life touched many, whose kindness and warmth was a constant comfort, and will be missed in turn. He is survived by his siblings Nilsa and Edgar, as well as his partner of thirty years, Gary S. Faber. Julio will be entombed Wednesday May 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 421 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA 01129. Military honors will follow committal prayers.

My deepest Sympathy, Julio was a good man. I'm sorry to have missed his arrangements I worked closely with him for may years. Had many laughs with this man.
