Katherine Scagliarini

Katherine Ann (Mastroianni) Scagliarini, 77, of Enfield, passed away, peacefully in her sleep at home, on September 30, 2025. She was born in Springfield, MA on November 23, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire (Morisi) Mastroianni. She graduated from Commerce High School with academic honors, and went on to attend Northampton College. A loving wife, dedicated mother, and proud grandmother, her family was her truest joy. She met her beloved husband, John, on a bus ride from the World's Fair in 1964. They married in 1969, had three children, and celebrated 56 years of marriage this year. She enjoyed making big Sunday dinners and having everyone over for family picnics and celebrations. A woman of great strength and unwavering positivity, Katherine spent the last 20 years of her life as a breast cancer survivor. She found immense joy in watching her grandson grow up and hearing all about his sports activities. She also loved flowers, tuning into the game show network, and watching the birds. In addition to her beloved husband, Katherine is survived by her children: Brian Scagliarini of MI, Jason Scagliarini of Windsor, and Alison Lessard and her husband, Marcel, of Southington; as well as her cherished grandson, Benjamin. She also leaves behind her brother, David Mastroianni, and his wife, Patricia, of MA; her niece, Krista Mastroianni; her nephew, Anthony Mastroianni; and many other family and friends. Katherine was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Mastroianni of AZ. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Sunday, October 5 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 6 at 11 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd, Enfield. Please meet directly at the church.
