She resided in Meriden, CT for most of her life before retiring and snow-birding in Port Charlotte, Florida and finally settling down in Durham in her later years. Kathryn waitressed for many years and was last employed by Greenfield's Restaurant (Lyman Orchards) before her retirement in the early 90's. She was a parishioner of Notre Dame Church, Durham.

She was an active member of her church and volunteered her time in many ways, including working the tag sales, counting the offertory, baking for the bake sales, ladies craft group, etc... Kathryn, liked to remain very busy, always taking care of her grandchildren and family. She loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter on the Cape yearly, for a "girls' week" she was always ready at a moment's notice to go bee-bopping with Kathy (tagging along for running errands or shopping). She enjoyed weekly Sunday dinners at her son Steve's house.
