Lois Ross

Lois Elizabeth Ross, age 87 of Milford, died peacefully on November 26, 2025 at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital, with her family by her side. Born on December 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Lowrey Brown. Ms. Ross was raised in the Mayberry Village neighborhood of East Hartford and was a 1954 graduate of East Hartford High School. Following her graduation, Ms. Ross began her long and successful career as an agent in commercial property & casualty insurance. Her employment started with the Crum & Forster Agency, Rocky Hill, CT, followed by the Bishop, Kirk & Saunders Agency, Stamford and lastly at the Molloy Insurance Agency, Stamford, where she retired in 2007. In her younger years, Ms. Ross enjoyed bowling and TV shows of the 70's, especially "The Waltons" and "Little House on the Prairie." After each program, she would remind her family how difficult life was back in her childhood years! Ms. Ross found an entirely new identity as a grandmother and great-grandmother, thoroughly spoiling her grandchildren with love, affection and never-ending treats. She is survived by her devoted children, Robert W. Ross and his wife (Michelle) of Stratford, Christopher D. Ross and his wife Pamela of Ansonia and Marcia C. DeCola of Milford; sisters, Barbara Palicki and her husband, Peter, Norma Dalessio and her husband, Robert, and Cynthia Plummer; brothers, Paul Brown and his wife, Diane, and Ronald Brown and his wife Gail; cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Rachel, Brittany, Eric, Taylor, Angelina, Michael and Christina and cherished great-grandchildren, Laurel, Jude, Jamieson. Ms. Ross was predeceased by a brother, Alan Brown and a great-grandson, Colin Rian Suozzi.
