Lynne C. Topping

Lynne Cormier Topping, 80, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on October 29th after a lengthy illness. Born on January 20, 1945, in Manchester, Lynne was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Beatrice E. Cormier. She grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School in 1963, as a member of the National Honor Society. Lynne was employed for many years as a secretary at Pratt & Whtiney until her retirement. Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas Topping; her beloved daughter Kelly Cox and her husband James; her son Thomas Topping, Jr. and his wife Lisa, as well as her cherished grandchildren Ethan Cox, Dylan Cox, Caitlin Topping and Ryan Topping. She is also survived by her best friend and beach buddy Gale Morianos. Lynne enjoyed cooking, gardening, flower arranging, sewing, beach vacations, shopping and UCONN Huskies Women's basketball. However, Lynne's greatest joy was her grandchildren. She could always be found cheering them on at their baseball and football games, as well as in the audience of their school functions. She never missed their special milestones and every birthday included one of her legendary ice cream cakes. Lynne's family would like to thank the staff at The Residence of Glastonbury, especially Demyra Jackson, for their compassionate care during Lynne's stay. They'd also like to thank Sandra Grenier for her endless love, care and support during Lynne's illness and throughout her passing.
