Mary Christian Obituary

Mary Genevieve Considine Christian, 93, a resident of Elim Park, formerly of Hamden, passed away on Jan. 17,2025. She was the beloved wife for 54 years of the late James M. Christian. Mother of Lawrence (Cynthia) Christian of AL, Mark Christian of East Haven, Kathleen (Eric) Meslin of FL, Diane Giuliani of Plainfield and Linda (Jeff) Mouning of N. Branford. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Considine. She was born June 12,1931 in New Haven a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary Patton Considine, was a high school graduate and was employed for over 35 years as a waitress at several area restaurants. Mary was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Sisters of the Divine Mercies. She also supported many charities over her lifetime. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and playing board games. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Bridget of Sweden Parish, St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm.
