Michael Rochette Obituary
Michael Dean Rochette, 77, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness with his family by his side. Born in Hardwick, Vermont on April 9,1948 he was the son of the late Rudolph and Thelma (Thompson) Rochette. He was a longtime Meriden resident and a Maloney High School graduate.
Mr. Rochette was employed by many contractors over the years including siding, carpentry and home repair.
Michael was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served honorably with the U.S. Navy from 1965-1971. He was a member of the VFW, enjoyed playing softball, fishing and tinkering with hands. He was always a good one to sit around with, drink a beer and tell a story. He was always so very proud of his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Lynn Rochette and her husband Kevin Aaron Cox; his two sons Daryl Scott Rochette and his former wife Cristie Jo and Brian Keith Rochette; his seven grandchildren Caleb Michael Rochette, Timothy Joseph Rochette, Gabriel John Rochette, Samantha Marie Rochette, Sabrina Arlene Rochette, Laura Starr Hedman and Aaron Michael Cox; his three great-grandchildren Theodore Joseph Rochette, Mirabelle Joy Rochette and Bryce Lane Rochette; his two sisters Mary Jean Briggs and Cheryl Ann Rochette and her partner Gary and his three brothers Ronald James Rochette Sr., David William Rochette, John Paul and his wife Diane Lee Rochette. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by Charlene Joy Rochette.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Francis Rochette, brother-in-law William Briggs and sister-in-law Sandy Rochette.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service commencing at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. A burial will be held privately at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
