Morrisa Bianica Ann Carter, affectionately known as "Baby D" and "Rissa," peacefully and gracefully departed this life on October 12, 2025, surrounded by love and embraced by peace. She was 33 years old. Born on July 9, 1992, in Hartford, Connecticut, Morrisa was a radiant and joyful presence in the lives of all who knew her. With a heart full of compassion, a laugh that could brighten the darkest day, and a spirit that drew people in, she made a lasting impact wherever she went. Whether you knew her from childhood or met her later in life, Morrisa had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. She is survived by her loving parents, Linda and Dave Gray; her devoted sisters, Nzinga, Menen, Khadijah, and Monica; her brothers, Morris, Jahdane, Jacoun, and Davion; her cherished godson, Mason; her adored nieces, Azahni, Layla, and Nyah; and her beloved nephews, Kareem and Kamari. She is also survived by her godmother, Nelly; her god-sisters, Ravyn and Eternity; her treasured pets, who brought her joy and companionship; her beloved Great Aunt Sandra and Great Uncle Wayne; her aunts, Patricia, Lisa, and Ruth; and her uncle, Stanley. Morrisa is further survived by a large and loving extended family and a wide circle of friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. To know Morrisa was to know joy, love, humor, and authenticity. She lived boldly, loved fiercely, and laughed freely. She would want those who mourn her to also celebrate her - to share stories, remember the good times, and carry her spirit forward in kindness and light.
