Raymond Pomichter Obituary

Raymond J. Pomichter, 70, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Kathy Rosano Pomichter. Raymond was born in New Haven on July 30, 1955, and was the son of the late Anthony J. Pomichter and Stella Slabaszewski Pomichter. He worked at SNET as a manager for 30 years, then as Paraprofessional for the Wallingford School System and later as a driver for Masonicare in Wallingford for many years. Raymond was a loyal and very devoted fan of the North Haven High School football team, enjoyed watching both the men's and women's UConn basketball games and horse racing. He loved going out on dinner dates with his wife Kathy, relaxing and taking dips in his pool. One of Raymonds greatest joys was spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews whom he loved unconditionally. Raymond will be remembered for his patience, caring nature and supportive attitude with everyone he knew. He will be missed by all and never forgotten. Beloved brother of Robert F. Pomichter (Mary), Patricia Kearney, Theodore "Ted" Pomichter (Evelyn) and the late Anthony Allan Pomichter and Michael John Pomichter. Also survived by his sisters in law Katie Pomichter, Barbara Pomichter, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Paul Kearney, goddaughter/niece Janine Pomichter and nephew Jonathan Brenner. The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 4th from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church on Wednesday morning, November 5th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.
