Richard Resnick Obituary

Richard Resnick, son of Israel and Mollie (Bornstein) Resnick, of Providence R.I., passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024, in Manchester, CT, at age 90. A proud Army veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, he was an executive in the garment industry, where he ran several warehouses and was a pioneer in selling to off-price retailers. Richard had a love for nature and relaxed by exploring the outdoors, walking, and biking with friends. He had a passion for cars, tennis, and basketball. A talented artist, Richard found solace and creativity in drawing. He had a great sense of humor and a kind soul. Richard is survived by his devoted partner, Pearl Podrove, loving daughters, Cheryl (Resnick) Rosen, Michelle (Resnick) Cornish, Dayna (Podrove) Cruz, and Tamara (Podrove) Maxwell, as well as 8 beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Norma (Resnick) Kaufman, and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Beth Sholom Memorial Park, 222 Autumn St., Manchester, CT.
