Ronald J. Squibbs Sr.

Ronald J. Squibbs Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at The Landing in North Haven. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to the late Mary Yopchick Squibbs. Ronald was born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1936, and was the son of the late James Squibb and Eileen Spray Buckley. He graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport and later attended New Haven College (now University of New Haven). A longtime resident of Stratford, CT, Ronald also lived in Russellville, AR, Bethlehem Township, PA, and Satellite Beach, Tarpon Springs, and Palm Harbor, FL. Ronald worked in engineering and management positions at manufacturing companies in Connecticut, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania before retiring in 2001. Father of Professor Ronald J. Squibbs Jr. and Professor Richard J. Squibbs. Also survived by his stepsister Carol Ann Adam, half-sisters Barbara Whelan and Darlene Squibb. Predeceased by his stepbrother Frederick Buckley. The visiting hour will be on Saturday, January 18th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 2:00.
