Sully was born April 17, 1943, residing in Bloomfield. As a member of the Air Force, he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Due to his strong belief in the Rights of Union Workers he also served as Union President of AFSCME Locals 184 and 3713. An avid New York Yankees fan, he enjoyed watching the games with "The Gang" as he called his grandchildren; his name sake Salvatore Garro, "Sully"; Antonio Garro, his "Buddy", and Gianna Garro, his "Johnny", all the lights of his life! He loved them with his whole heart, and they loved him even more. He also leaves Lea, his grand dog.
