Samealla Carrington Obituary
Samealla Carrington, born to Samuel Crawford and Gwendolyn Morgan on April 1, 1982, took her eternal rest on January 26, 2025. Samealla will always be understood as the Princess to the award-winning drill team of her Hartford, CT hometown. Her mother, forever standing as its Queen, their accomplishments together with the team being led and widely recognized.
Her educational career included A.I. Prince Techinical School and Macintosh College, where she met and later wed, Richards Carrington of Bloomfield, CT, on March 26, 2011. Samealla stood tall, loved hard and she dreamed big. As a little girl, Samealla grew up surrounded by her brother, Rashawan Morgan and their cousins, building dance routines, making memories and served many of them in the capacity as a big sister, advisor and a lifetime friend.
Samealla lived many years of her life with her mother and grandmother, Catherine Morgan; the three of them were inseparable and were known individually and collectively for always being an open door and a place where the family's heartbeat was felt. Her unwavering dedication to her family and perhaps one of the acts of love.
She was most proud of her contributions to ELM (Entertainment, Life, Models) Magazine, with her brother, Rashawn Morgan. Samealla was an incredible, active and loving aunt and godmother to her beloved nephews, nieces and godchildren. To Samealla, family was the true center of her world.
Samealla was preceded in transition by Henry Morgan; her maternal grandmother, Catherine Morgan; paternal grandmother and namesake Ella; her maternal cousin, Kevin Morgan; her mother, Gwendolyn Morgan and her paternal uncles, Jefferey Morgan and James Morgan. She is survived by her father, Samuel Crawford; father and mother-in-law, Garth and Ouida Carrington; husband, Richard Carrington; paternal uncles and aunts: Kevin Morgan, Kenneth Morgan, Shirley Morgan and Jacqueline Vinters, with a plethora of more aunts and uncles; her brother, Rashawn Morgan and his children: Jaelen, Laniyah, Rashawn, Niyla Morgan and her closely endeared cousins and best friends.
You will always remain a Queen, dear Samealla and forever me missed and celebrated.
