Samone Williams Obituary

Obituary of Samone Maurice Williams
Samone Maurice Williams, 31 years old, of New Haven, CT, departed this life unexpectedly on May 17, 2025. Samone, known simply as Mone, A.K.A. Sosa, by his family and friends, was born on August 15, 1993 to Rodney Mays and Latasha Williams. The youngest boy of 4 children, he was a happy child with a beautiful and kind spirit.
Mone was a family man, he loved his children, his family and often brought everyone together to enjoy each other's laughter, support and his mom's delicious cooking because he also loved to eat. Mone had a smile that would light up the room and he possessed the ability to make everyone that he came in contact with comfortable, just by being his authentic self.
Mone was a devoted father to his three beautiful children. He is described by them as being their favorite person. He looked forward to their outings, just as much if not more than they did. Mone always wanted his children to have bigger and do better in life than him and he did everything in his power to make that happen.
Mone successfully obtained his GED from the Adult Education Center in 2012, and he became a dedicated employee of Town Fair Tire. His employer and fellow co-workers enjoyed working with him. Remembering his infectious sense of humor, his pride in his job and the desire to build a career for himself that allowed him to take care of and be there for his children and his family.
Mone is survived by his twin daughters Seige & Symone Williams (8), and his son Maurice Williams (7), his father, Rodney Mays (Anjie), his mother, Latasha Williams (Enico), multiple siblings, including but not limited to, Tevin Williams, Ronice Mays and London Jones. A niece and nephew, Noell and Daizhon Armstrong, his paternal grandmother, Lucille Mays, his maternal grandmother, Delores Williams, his special grandfather, Gordon Williams, his uncle Steven Mays, his aunts Shelina Mays and Cherrie Williams, great grandmother Jennie Reid and great grandfather Chris Williams along with a host of great uncles, great aunts and cousins. Mone also leaves to cherish his memory, a childhood best friend of 16 years, Ryan Baldwin.
Mone was predeceased by his uncle Marquette Samone Williams and his paternal grandfather Horace Mays.
Samone will be deeply missed by all who know him. He will forever remain in our hearts.
