Sharon Diogostine Obituary

Waterbury, CT Sharon Diogostine Sharon (Tartaglia) Diogostine, 76, of Waterbury, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Diogostine, Sr. who passed away on April 8, 2015. Sharon was born in Waterbury, CT on September 29, 1948, a daughter of the late Jerro Tartaglia and Anita (Lapiana) Lariviere. She attended both Crosby and Sacred Heart High School. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and she especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved making the Sunday dinners for her family. Sharon also worked with her daughter at Quality Times Daycare. She and her husband lived in Bradenton, FL for several years, where they enjoyed going to the beaches. She was a NY Yankees fan and could be found playing Candy Crush on her tablet quite often. Sharon leaves to honor and cherish her memory, two sons, Robert R. Diogostine, Jr. and Christopher Diogostine both of Waterbury, CT, daughter, Dana Barbieri and her husband, James of Waterbury, CT, brother, William Tartaglia and his wife, Janice of Wilmington, DE, sister, Phyllis Balogh and her husband, John of Vernon, CT, six grandchildren, Zackery, Ashley and William "Billy" Diogostine, Rachel Washington and her husband, Denzel, Leah and Joshua "Josh" Barbieri, two great grandchildren, Amir and Elias Washington and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Sharon's funeral will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to Blessed Sacrament Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held private and at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be held Thursday morning, prior to the Mass from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sharon's memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org/donate
