Stanislaw Slawski

Stanislaw Slawski, 82, of Plantsville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland, Stanislaw was the son of the late Julian Slawski and Maria (Wiater) Slawska. In 1992, he bravely made the journey to the United States in search of a better life for his family. He lived in Meriden for several years before making his home in Plantsville. Stanislaw was a man of quiet strength, known for his tireless work ethic and deep devotion to those he loved. He was employed with Stanley Works and later with FK Bearings. Stanley was a devout parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Southington and then later Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. For 55 years, Stanislaw was the beloved husband of Janina (Markuszka) Slawska. Together, they built a life founded on love, sacrifice, and mutual support. A proud father and cherished grandfather, he provided steadfast care and guidance, always putting family first. Those who knew Stanislaw will remember his warm smile and generous spirit. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether to a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger in need. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time at the beach and tending to his garden. Along with his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Edyta Jarosz and her husband Greg of Southington and Dorota Stevenson and her husband Jason of Torrington, and two grandchildren Julia Jarosz and Mary Stevenson. He also leaves his sister Wanda Staczek and many nieces and nephews in Poland. He was predeceased by his sister Helena. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. His funeral service will begin on Thursday, May 29th at 9:00 a.m. at Burritt Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain.
