Teresa Fausel

Teresa Marlene Fausel (Temple), 78, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was born in Hartford on October 19, 1946. Teresa was predeceased by her mother Maria F. Edgar and stepfather William J. Edgar Jr., her brother James D. Temple, and her father James R. Temple. She leaves behind her son William C. Fausel and his wife Kathleen Patry Fausel, grandson Dylan Fausel, granddaughter Christina Fausel and great-grandson Faustino "Adrian" Colon, her son Mark J. Fausel and grandson Joseph D. Fausel. She also leaves her brother, George R. Temple and his wife Carrie L. Temple, her sister, Christine Temple as well as several dear cousins on her mother's (Festa) side. Teresa found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together. She loved family gatherings and parties, and in later years enjoyed going out for dinners. She enjoyed movies about animals or romance stories, and had an unbreakable daily appointment to watch *The Price is Right*. Teresa was kind and pleasant to all and made friends easily. She knew everyone's birthday and faithfully sent thoughtful cards and holiday messages. Special acknowledgment goes to George and Carrie Temple for making Teresa an integral part of their household over recent years. Gratitude is also given for the warm friendship of the Temple's neighbors at the lake. Teresa lived most of her life with profound hearing loss but did not let it stop her from working or socializing. She loved signing with some of her friends wherever they met. She also had a sharp eye for lip-reading from across the room! Before there was texting, Teresa would keep up by TTY or relay. (For those who had ever used TTY: ILY, SKSK.) May Teresa's memory bring comfort to those who loved her. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A Funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the funeral home, with burial immediately following at St. Patrick Cemetery, King Street, Enfield.
