Tony Maurice Beckman, Sr., 66 of Hartford, CT, beloved husband of LaShawn Beckman entered eternal rest on October 24, 2025. Tony was born on March 6,1959 to Flonnie Beckman and the late Moses Alton Darby. Tony was also raised by the late Oscar Beckman. Tony was a proud graduate of Weaver High School, class of 1977.
After high school, Tony worked as a machinist for Pratt and Whitney for over 33 years. Tony had a love for all sports and played semi-pro baseball. He was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics, and New York Mets. In his pastime, he loved a good poker or spades game and enjoyed having debates about politics. Tony's life was fueled by his desire to leave a legacy defined by his love for family and friends.
Tony had a very large and magnetic personality and was always the life of the party. If you knew Tony, you know how much he loved to be surrounded by family and friends. Tony was a smooth dresser and a tremendous trash talker, but he had the most joy spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Tony is predeceased by his grandmother Trudy Beckman and his Aunt Flora Mae Moreland Statham. (Marvin)
Tony is lovingly remembered by his wife LaShawn Beckman, as well as his ex-wife Anita Beckman and their children: Jeremiah Cobra, Tony Beckman Jr, Toneka Beckman (Corey), Tiffany Beckman, Terrell Beckman Sr.; his grandchildren, Angelica Santiago, Tiana Beckman, Amere Beckman, Maison Beckman, Caeli Johnson, Ella Johnson, Nia Johnson, Terrell Beckman Jr., Tahj Beckman, his mother Flonnie Beckman, brothers Ronald Beckman (Henrietta), Anthony Beckman, sister Karen Russ, Cousin: Steve Harris (Ann), mother-in-law Marita Alexander of Las Vegas, Brother-in-law Tyrek Montalvo-Alexander (Noreen) of Las Vegas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His family will receive friends on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 10:00 am-11:00 am, with The Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am. at Hopewell Baptist Church, 280 Windsor Ave., Windsor, Ct
