Tracy Monniere Obituary

Tracy (Levesque) Monniere, 48, of Shelburne, VT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT. While Tracy faced significant challenges following an acute stroke several years ago, she graced our lives with a smile as bright as a field of sunflowers-a symbol of her radiant spirit and approach to life. Tracy was born on December 23, 1976, in Smithtown, Long Island, NY, the only daughter and child to Bernie and Monique (Pelletier) Levesque. Growing up in New Britain, Tracy was a vibrant spirit who graduated from New Britain High School in 1995. During her time in high school, she was a proud member of the Golden Hurricane Band, where she showcased her exquisite talent as a flute player. Tracy's compassionate nature and passion to help others led her to discover her calling in the healthcare field while still in high school. Following the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course completion, she began her career as a CNA at Sheriden Woods in Bristol, where she touched the lives of countless residents and families. Tracy furthered her education at Tunxis Community College then took a leap of faith and transferred to Champlain College in Vermont, where she would earn her associate's degree in social work. Tracy was a dedicated scholar who balanced her college studies with a determination to succeed. She continued to work as a CNA at The Arbors at Shelburne in Vermont while earning her degree at Champlain. It was during this formative time that she met her beloved husband, Allan Monniere. Their love blossomed quickly, leading to a joyous marriage, which was a cornerstone of Tracy's life. Together, they built a partnership defined by support, laughter, and shared dreams. Following college graduation, Tracy served as an essential heartbeat at Good Health, where she worked under the guidance of Dr. Mark Pitcher. Known for her versatility and can-do attitude, she seamlessly juggled various roles-from managing referrals and scheduling to providing exemplary receptionist support. Her colleagues and clientele admired her ability to bring warmth and professionalism to every task she undertook, making the office a welcoming space for all. Tracy cherished her role in the healthcare field, where her passion for helping patients and making a difference in their lives was both evident and inspiring. Throughout her life, Tracy embraced every moment with passion and joy, but none compared to the day she welcomed her daughter, Alison, into the world - a day she described as the best of her life. Family was Tracy's greatest treasure, and she found immense joy in spending time with her beloved relatives and friends. She epitomized the idea of togetherness, always nurturing bonds that brought smiles to the faces of her loved ones. In addition, her love for dogs was unparalleled, and her furry companions, Jedi and Blu, brought her boundless joy and companionship. Her dogs were not just pets, but cherished family members. Forever remembered and loved, may Tracy's memory continue to shine brightly within us all. Tracy is survived by her husband, Allan Monniere, of Shelburne, VT; her daughter, Alison Monniere, of Shelburne, VT; her parents, Bernie and Monique Levesque, of New Britain, CT; her mother-in-law, Mary Belatski, of S. Burlington, VT; her grandmother, Carmen Pelletier, of Ft. Kent, ME; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, friends and colleagues. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 27 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad Street, Plainville. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
