Usha Rani Agarwal

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom Usha Rani Agarwal who left us peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Born on March 1, 1939, in Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh, India, daughter of the late Dharam Prakash and Shanti Devi Agarwal and lived a life marked by grace, resilience, and quiet strength. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal; her elder brother, Krishan Kumar Agarwal; her sister-in-law, Rekha Rani Agarwal; and her cherished niece Gudiya. Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her two devoted daughters and their families, Aradhana Rehor and her husband Jeffrey of Enfield, CT, and Puja Billis and her husband William of Waterford, CT; four adoring grandchildren, Bryan Thomas Rehor and his wife Amanda; Tyler Jeffrey Rehor and his fiancée, Lynsey Schafer, Sarah Anne Billis and Olivia Dawn Billis; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Rehor; a brother, Sudhir Kumar Agarwal of India; a nephew, Ashish Agarwal and his wife Pooja Agarwal and their family of India. She also leaves behind many cousins, other relatives and friends throughout the world, and several loving nieces and nephews and their families from her deceased loving husband's side of the family, including Rajiv Agarwal and his family of Massachusetts. A lifelong educator and scholar, she earned her master's degree in Hindi Literature in 1960, married in 1961, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1969. She dedicated her early career to teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, nurturing young minds with compassion, discipline, and a deep love for learning. In 1979, her husband moved to the United States to begin a new chapter, and she followed with her daughters in 1980. She embraced her new life with courage and determination and was especially proud to serve the State of Connecticut Civil courthouse as a Data Processor, where she worked with utmost integrity, deep dedication and pride. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling domestically and abroad, cooking traditional Indian food for her family and friends, and knitting and crafts for others at Brookdale Assisted Living. Proud of her Indian heritage, she devoted her time and skills to helping others in her community. Her life was a testament to perseverance, humility, and devotion. She will be remembered for wisdom, her sharp mind, her quiet strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th, 1:30 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, CT.
