Beverly S. Fuget

Beverly Sue Fuget, 83, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 9:06 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. She was born on May 9, 1942 in Fort Madison, IA to Floyd W. & Dorothy M. Davis Shacklett. She married James M. Fuget on June 17, 1962 in Fort Madison, IA. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2021. She was a member of the Fort Madison Saddle Club and was inducted into the Miss Rodeo Iowa Hall of Fame in 2024. In her younger years, she spent much of her time at Shacklett Stables, her family's stable. In recent years, she loved spending time at her country property and watching rodeo on T.V.
Bev is survived by: 2-sons: Curt (Dana) Fuget of Streator, IL & Shawn (Deb) Fuget of Fort Madison, IA; 5-grandchildren: Andy, Brad, Kyle, Justin & Kendra; several great grandchildren and 1-brother: David (Sandy) Shacklett of Fort Madison, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 1-son: Kevin Fuget & 1-brother: Jimmy Shacklett.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Metcalf officiating. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
