Charles Cunningham Obituary

Charles A. Cunningham, 81, of Bushnell, IL passed away at 3:44 pm Friday October 17, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. He was born on June 17, 1944 in Roseville, IL to Roland and Dorthy (Thomas) Cunningham. He married Sandra J. Driffil on February 22, 1964 in Roseville; she preceded him in death on May 27, 2008. Surviving are his two daughters, Andrea (Neal) Dorow of Wilmington, NC, Jona (Ken) McCance of Bushnell; 2 grandchildren Jace and Kena McCance; siblings, Larry Cunningham of Macomb, IL, Jerry (Lynn) Cunningham of Boise, ID, Ellen (Dean) Ischer of Little York, IL. Chuck served in the Navy as a submariner until returning to the cornfields of Bushnell to raise his family. He loved tending to his goats, dogs and ducks after he retired from BNSF. He also enjoyed watching his grandson play sports and his granddaughter perform on stage. He will be greatly missed by all. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the McDonough County Humane Society. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
