Chester Turner Obituary

Chester Lee Turner, 74 of Lewistown, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 9:52 AM at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
The son of Marion Francis and Jewel Kathryn Olinger Turner was born on September 17, 1950 in Lewistown, Missouri.
Chester served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing pool, golfing and being outdoors. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Kansas City Chief's fan.
He is survived by three sons, Derrick Turner, Brandon Turner both of Lewistown, Mo. and Justin Turner of Canton, Mo.; close family friends, Allison Jett, Jonathan Andrew Klocke-Shumate, Debra J. Klocke, all of Lewistown, Mo.; two grandsons, Alex Webb and Jeremiah Marcum; great-grandsons, Zadyn Webb and Jasper Webb; two sister in laws, Helen Turner of Russellville, Mo. and Janna Stiles of Payson, Il.; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Kay (Bill) Shaw, Caroll (Larry) Hester and two brothers, Ernie and Frank Turner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Pastor Lance Bonnell officiating. Burial with Military Honors by Lewis County Memorial Post #578 will be in the Lewistown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 PM until the time of services at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Association.
Pallbearers: Derrick Turner, Brandon Turner, Justin Turner, Jonathan Shumate, Colten Jett and Alex Webb.
Honorary Pallbearers: Phil Gaus, Ron Conger, Mike Hester, Johnnie Kraft, Greg Doscher, Kenny Bugh, Jr., Gary English, Phil Roberson, Martin Wiseman, Eric Cary and Bert Lawler.
