Donald Geissler Obituary

Donald Geissler Obituary Donald 'Donnie' Wayne Geissler, 69, of Carthage, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in West Point, IL. Donnie was born on December 19, 1955, in Carthage, IL. He was the son of William Henry and June Evelyn (Metternich) Geissler. He graduated from Carthage High School. Donnies love for the land began at an early age, farming alongside his parents and siblings. Though he spent time working as a carpenter during the off season, his heart was always in farming. In time, he took over the family farm, continuing the legacy with pride and dedication. Donnie had recently decided to retire last fall, but true to his nature, he stayed busy over the winter and spring fixing up a new property he had purchasedall while making time for another of his great passions: hunting. Donnie especially cherished time spent outdoors with his family, and many of his nephews fondly remember the adventures they shared at his deer shack and family cabincamping, laughing, hunting, and learning from Donnies deep love for the outdoors and for those around him. He will truly be missed by those who knew him and loved him. Donnie is survived by his siblings, Jerry (Kathy) Geissler of Basco, IL, Bill Geissler of Warsaw, IL, Dennis (Lisa) Geissler of Basco, IL, Vicki (Randy) Campbell of Hamilton, IL, and Cindy Harris of Queen Creek, AZ, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert Geissler, and Randy Geissler. No services will be held at this time. Printy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
