Joanne Adams Obituary
Joanne was born on June 1, 1933 in Shelbina, MO the daughter of Jesse B. and Lizzie Mae (Noel) Wood. She was united in marriage on November 11, 1950 in Shelbina, MO to Lendell Adams. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2004.
Joanne was a member of the Shelbina Christian Church. She enjoyed mowing, traveling, and being a caregiver. When the sun was out, so was Joanne, primarily tending to her garden. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Ramsey (Eddie) of Shelbina, MO, and Brenda Milner (Mike) of Shelbina, MO; grandchildren, Travis Adams (Jonna), Kevin Ramsey, Jessica Carpenter (Brian), Lenda Fidelman (AJ), Monica Unger (Tim), Kayla Teter (Jeremy), and Erica Hall (Austin); eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lendell; one son, Lendell Lee Jr.; seven siblings, Elizabeth McKinney, Noel Wood, Frieda Hopper, Glenn Wood, Margaret Ruth "Toadie" Patterson, Pauline King, and John E. "Mickey" Wood.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. A visitation will precede the service starting at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Shelbina Cemetery in Shelbina, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Christian Church-Playground Fund or donor's choice.
