Jonathan Floyd Obituary
Jonathan "Jon" J.W. Floyd, 55, of Perry, MO, passed away at 3:05 AM, Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Ariel Cemetery in rural Ralls County, MO.
Friends and Family are invited to Jon's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Jon was born January 1, 1970, in Columbia, MO to James Joseph "Joe" Floyd and Betty Floyd.
He was married to Candace "Candy" Kay Hildenbrand on January 15, 1994, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Ely, MO. She survives.
Other survivors include his adopted mother, Betty Floyd of Monroe City, MO; biological mother, Reba Evans of LaPorte, TX; six children, Bill Hildenbrand (Selina) of Eldon, MO, Chris Evans (Lisa) of Eldon, MO, Brandon Evans (Nina) of Eldon, MO, Curtis Evans (Christin Smith) of Eldon, MO, Andrew Evans of Eldon, MO, and Desiree Montavy (Ernest) of Jefferson City, MO; one brother, Jason Floyd; four sisters, June Jefferies (Matt), Meredith Evans-Halbardier (Mike), Margo Lamas (Jonathan), and Jill Jackson (Boone); 12 grandchildren, Skip Figgins, James Brake, William Hildenbrand Jr., Angel Dusenberry, Jonathan Hopkins, Earnest Hopkins, Jasmine Evans, Quinn Evans, Hunter Evans, Jason Evans, Wyatt Mount and Cassidy Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews, with one nephew and one niece closest to his heart, Leandro Lamas and Carly Lamas.
Jon was preceded in death by his father; and his pet lab, "Baby Girl".
Jon spent most of his working career as a farmer. He most recently worked as a laborer at Perry Machine and Die.
Jon loved to be outdoors. He especially enjoyed deer and turkey hunting. Fishing any opportunity he had was also something that Jon took pleasure in. Spending time with his pet Labrador retriever (Libby) and his side kick (Daisy) and barbequing for family and friends no matter what the temperature was outside were a few of Jon's favorites. Most of all Jon cherished the times he shared with family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hildenbrand, Chris Evans, Brandon Evans, Curtis Evans, Andrew Evans, James Boulware, William Hildenbrand Jr. and Jonathan Hopkins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Department of Conservation for Youth Hunting.
