Joshua Horton Obituary

Joshua Wayne Horton, 44, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison. He was born on October 1, 1980 in Iowa City, IA to Don V. & Deborah Holtkamp Horton, Jr. He was a welder and fabricator when he was younger and loved fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, animals, being outside, horror movies, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rob Zombie and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and caring soul and a humble man. Josh is survived by: 3-daughters: Sabrina Wilson of Wever, IA, Alexis (Jesse Rollins) Horton of Fort Madison, IA & Bailee Horton of Bonaparte, IA; 1-son: Chance Horton of Fort Madison, IA; 7-grandchildren: Gannon, Skye, Asher, Madderrick, Izlynn, Zoelynn & Chase; his father: Don Horton, Jr. of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sisters: Sasha Horton of Fort Madison, IA & Tenile (Ernest) Aldridge of Fort Madison, IA; 1-brother: Don Horton III of Fort Madison, IA and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mom and 1-grandson: Munson. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Arrangements will be held at a later date and burial will be at String Prairie Cemetery.
