Lois Mae Taylor

Lois Mae Taylor, 89 of Canton, Missouri died Thursday, September 4, 2025 peacefully at her home.

The daughter of George and Hazel (Martin) Job was born on October 9, 1935 at Canton, Missouri.

Lois was a well known entrepreneur in the city of Canton. Lois was a previous owner of the Cotton Bowl Lanes bowling alley in Canton for 20+ years. She was always smiling behind the bar serving up her famous tenderloins. Lois was a well known Landlord who owned many rental properties. She enjoyed seeing family and friends, shopping at yard sales, yard work, and never questioned helping someone when they needed her help.

She is survived by one son, Larry Taylor of Canton, MO.; two granddaughters; three grandsons; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Kathy Bainbridge and Mike Taylor, four siblings, Bev McClaughry, Shelby Miller, Linda Unger and Jesse Job. As well as a grandson, Bleu Taylor I, and a nephew, Jeff Hamilton.

Per Lois' wishes, there was no visitation. A private Graveside funeral service was held on Sunday, September 7, at 2 PM with Rev. Adam Moss officiating at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton, Missouri.
