Margaret E. Terry

1928 - 2026

Margaret E. Terry, 97 of Littleton, IL passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 19, 1928, in Woodstock Township to the late Beryl and Myrtle Mae Sours Trone. She married Harlin L. Terry, August 24, 1947, at the 1st Christian Church. He passed away July 3, 2018.

She is survived by (1) son Stephen Terry and wife Cathy of Littleton; (1) daughter Rita Geisler and husband James of Rushville; (5) grandchildren Stephanie Maliongas and late husband Adam, Sally Trone and husband Steve, Terri Belville and husband Dennis, Scott Terry and Lynnette, and Anne Oliver and husband Justin; (13) great grandchildren Cody Morris and wife Jaymee, Abigail Snyder and husband Solomon, Alex Kellerman, Jakob Maliongas, Deni Ondra and husband Brady, Tyler Trone, Madelyn Belville and Fiancé Alec, Carson Belville, Charlie Terry, Ethan Oliver, Mitchell Oliver, Emersyn Oliver, and Nina Cale; (9) great-great grandchildren Keaton, Dawsyn, Jaxson and Oliver Morris and Lillian Zeisler, Henry and Theodore Snyder, Polli and Sunny Ondra; (1) brother Allen Trone and wife Sandy of Moline; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harlin, her parents Beryl and Myrtle Trone (2) brother Harold and Herschel Trone (1) sister Mildred Danner, (1) grandson-in-law Adam Maliongas

Margaret Graduated from Rushville High School Class of 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Littleton, where she taught Sunday School and VBS. She loved gardening, sewing and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Margaret was a hard worker and will be missed greatly by all.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 27, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home with Mr. Stephen Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday. Memorials may be given to Schuyler School District Lunch Program.
