Nellie Cook Obituary

Nellie Jane Cook 67 of Bushnell, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the Macomb Post Acute Care Center. Nellie was born November 27, 1957, in Macomb to John Henry and Carolina Jane Brown Goddard. Nellie was united in marriage to Jim Cook in Prairie City on February 14, 1988. Surviving to mourn her passing is her husband, Jim Cook, Bushnell, 2 brothers: John (Jackie) Goddard, Delbert (Marilyn) Goddard, 3 sisters: Emily (Rick) Smith, Maxine Bemont, and Rosalie Sikes, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Carolina Goddard. Nellie was a home maker, and she enjoyed babysitting, over the years she babysat for many different families. Cremation rites have been accorded. Jones Funeral Chapel in Colcheter is assisting the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
