Robert (Bob) K. Camp, 71, of Congerville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 15, 2025 at his residence. He was born on April 26, 1954 in Canton, IL to Harold K. and Beverly A. (Bowman) Camp. He married Pamela K. Terry on July 16, 1983 in Bushnell, IL; she preceded him in death on May 2, 2025.
He is survived by his siblings David M. (Rosanne Patryluk) Camp of Midland Ontario, Canada and Gail A. Tittle of Champaign, IL, brother-in-law, Larry Riden of La Harpe, IL, and best friend, Rachel Shipley, Hudson, IL. He will also be greatly missed by his nephews and nieces, Greg Camp, St. Charles, MO, Keith (Cassie) Camp, Truesdale, MO, Alex Tittle, Champaign, IL, Elysia (Tittle) Katet, San Francisco, CA, Teresa (Jeff) Hofmeister, Colorado Springs, CO, Scott (Mindy) Riden, Good Hope, IL, Karen (Ron) Jarrell, La Harpe, IL, and 16 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Violet and Archie Terry, brother-in-law, Matt Tittle, sister-in-law Patty (Terry) Riden, and brother-in-law, David Terry.
Bob grew up in a military family, living in several states and in Spain and Germany. He began his professional career serving in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years in Texas and Turkey. He returned to Illinois to attend Western Illinois University and completed a bachelors degree and a masters in computer science. Bob was a Systems Analyst for State Farm for 28 years, retiring in 2015.
Bob was a talented musician and played guitar and sang in several bands, most recently with the Biscuits n Gravy Band for the past 19 years and with his church praise band. He was loved by those he met and knew for his quiet, gentle nature and great sense of humor.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor Bill Novak, will be held at Morton Methodist Church, 420 N. Tennessee in Morton at 10:30 a.m. on July 2, 2025 followed by a graveside memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at the Bushnell Township Cemetery. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
