Robert R. Gauntt

Dateline: Hardin Robert R. Gauntt, 48, of Hardin, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, April 21, 2025. Born on September 29, 1976, in Alton, Illinois, Robert was the beloved son of Jane M. Gauntt (Sagez) and the late Steve R. Gauntt. A lifelong resident of Hardin, Robert, was a dedicated Production Team member at MO.S.T. Inc., where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built. On July 12, 2021, he married Tara M. (Bick) Gauntt, who survives. Together they shared a strong and loving bond. Robert is also survived by his two brothers and their wives: Richard and Jill Gauntt, and Kevin and Kayla Gauntt, all of Hardin. He was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Travis R.Gauntt. In accordance with his wishes, Robert was cremated. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Grafton American Legion. A chicken lunch will be served, and all family and friends are welcome to join in remembering and honoring Robert's life. Arrangements are entrusted to Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes in Hardin.
