We both share so many wonderful memories of our friendship with Roy and family since he moved to Yaupon Beach about 1990!
Our prayers go out to RJ, Heather,
Joanne and all the family.
You will all remain in our prayers as Roy will remain in our hearts.

My Uncle Roy was one of the most important people in my life growing up as a young man. He played an important role in who I am to this day. He welcomed me into his family when I was just 18 years old after he got me in the labor Union in Michigan to work and save money for college. He always treated me with love and respect. You will be dearly missed Roy.

I was very close to Roy from the day he was born to the day he passed away. Being the oldest, I spent time caring for both of my younger brother's, Roy and Gary, while our parents worked hard building their businesses. I believe this time together when they were so young, strengthened our lifelong relationships. I am working through the suddenness and sadness of Roy being gone and I feel blessed having had him in my life.

When I think of my Uncle Roy, I can't help but smile. Yes it's harder right now, but I still can. So many great memories. He was an amazing human being ... a wonderful Father, brother, son and Uncle. He was a shining example of how to live one's life ... work hard, take care of the people you love and make sure to have fun along the way. For Roy, life was about living it to the fullest. It does my heart good knowing that he knew just how much I loved him. I am going to miss him so much, until the next time I see him.

My brother enjoyed picking me up ... maybe because he was once smaller than me. :)
